inspired by the the movie Plague Dogs (1982) which i will give you mad props if you recognise. It's by the same company as Watership Down (Nepenthe Productions). The premise behind the film is the tragic story of two excapee lab dogs, Rowf and Snitter, who manage to flee the lab in which they were used in cruel animal tesing experiments. The bubonic plage was also being testing in this facility, and when word gets out that the dogs might be infected, the Irish military is sent to track down and destroy the animals. As you can imagine, it does not end well, but despite the doom and gloom that hangs over this film it is a MUST SEE if you can manage to find it. I was lucky enough to first notice it in the back corner of a video rental store in Northampton, MA and then have my buddy ~Penguin-Enigma send me a copy later The film was an adaption of the book by Richard Adams.

Snitter: "We can go through it, Rowf!"
Rowf: "What for?"
Snitter: "Rowf we might be able to get out of here!"
Rowf: "They'd only bring us back. Dogs are supposed to do what men want."
Snitter: "The suffering, the misery you've endured..."
Rowf: "We dogs were born to suffering. It's a bad world for animals."
Snitter: "Rowf, we're going to escape, both of us, through that door."
Rowf: "...There might be something worse beyond that door..."
